ALTAR GUILD - Prepare the altar and sanctuary for worship. Working under the direction of Fr. Don, the guild exists to assist the clergy and assure a proper church setting for worship. Call Lois Nikodym 760-731-0828

CHALICE BEARER - Assist at the service by administering the chalice during communion.

COFFEE HOUR HOST/HOSTESS - Serve coffee, juice, and refreshments after each service.

FELLOWSHIP PARTNER - Provide one on one support for new members to help them move into the life and ministry of St. John’s. Call Connie Crossley, 760-723-3246

INTERCESSOR - Lead Prayers of the People during the worship service. Prayer chain for intercessory prayer is also available.

LAY EUCHARISTIC MINISTER - Assist the clergy in visiting and taking Communion to the sick or homebound.

LECTOR - Read Scripture lessons during the services.

MUSIC MINISTRY
CHOIR- Participate in worship and special services under the direction of the choir director.

OBLATIONS BEARER - Take bread and wine to the altar during the offertory in preparation for communion.

ORDER OF ST. LUKE - An international order of healing. Members are inducted into the order after a course of study on the healing ministry of Jesus. Call Paula Weathers 760-758-1172

PARISH LIFE - Become a member of one of the circles that plan, coordinate, and provide the fellowship and social activities in the church. Call Gwen Gibney 760-728-9570

PRAYERS AND SQUARES - Help design and make quilts “tied in prayer” to be given to anyone requesting one for a sick friend or relative. Call Bev King 760-728-7632 more information

STEWARDSHIP - Participate in coordination of yearly stewardship and pledging campaign.
